The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a federally funded employment and training program. The Shiawassee RESD WIA program serves youth 14-18 years of age. To qualify for the program, students must meet federal, low income guidelines and meet one or more of the following barriers to employment:
Students develop job skills through employment in public, private, or non-profit organizations.

If you would like more information regarding the WIA program or are an employer that would like to host a student please call the WIA Coordinator at the Shiawassee Regional Education Service District @ 989-743-3471.
