What is the Parent Coalition?
- Be part of a supportive network of other parents
- Participate in training to develop skills in leadership and advocacy
- Plan activities/events that build public support for early childhood
- Have fun
- Make a difference by working together toward a common vision
The Parent Coalition meets 6-7 times per year (see meeting schedule below); generally on the 2nd Tues of the month at the RESD Early Childhood Services, 114 W North St, Owosso from 6p-7:30p. Parent Coalition Activities
Annual Plan Each year, the Parent Coalition outlines an annual plan that identifies their activities and events for outreach, education and advocacy for the year. Interest this year revolved around car seat safety and playground improvement. The Coalition’s big activity for the Spring/Summer is the Touch a Touch & Young Children’s Fun Fair.
