The path to success looks different for every student. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)Youth Program is a federal grant training program providing paid work experiences for 14-to 21-year-old high school students.
Our grant fiscal agent is GST Michigan Works! and Shiawassee RESD implements the program.
Students develop job skills through employment in public, private, or non-profit organizations.

If you would like more information regarding the WIOA program or are an employer that would like to host a student please call the WIOA Coordinator at the Shiawassee Regional Education Service District at 989-743-3471. The Shiawassee RESD WIOA program is a partner with MichiganWorks!, various community agencies, the Shiawassee RESD work-study program, and all eight school districts.
