Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is now available in Shiawassee County! Great Start Shiawassee's partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library will provide a hand-selected, age-appropriate, high-quality book each month to registered children from birth to age five.
Created in 1995, The Dollywood Foundation launched Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to inspire a love of reading and learning in children. Dolly wanted to share her life and legacy as an inspiration to all children to "Dream More, Learn More, Care More and Be More."
How It Works
- Enroll your child online at https://imaginationlibrary.com/usa/affiliate/MISHIAWASSEE
- In 6-8 weeks, your child will receive their first book in the mail, 'The Little Engine That Could'.
- Books arrive in the mail monthly until your child's 5th birthday.
Books
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library puts books into the hands and hearts of children across the world. The Imagination Library books are specially-selected, age-appropriate, high-quality books that are delivered to registered children each month from birth to age five. These books are personalized with the child's name and mailed directly to the child's home to create a gifting experience that makes books exciting and shows the child someone is thinking of them.

These materials are funded through a grant provided by the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential.

A hero doesn’t necessarily have to wear a cape and tights, maybe a hero speaks up for what’s right. Maybe that hero could be you. If you see or hear something that doesn’t seem right, you can submit a confidential tip to OK2SAY. OK2SAY allows anyone to confidentially report tips on criminal activities or potential harm directed at Michigan students, school employees, or schools. Protect yourself and others by using OK2SAY.
